So like... before I get to the main point of this blog entry, I have to remark that there was this 5-point-something magnitude earthquake that happened earlier in the day. And I nearly shit my pants. I was in my living room, just about to leave for work, and i was talking to my mom. Suddenly, I felt the floor shake, and I thought to myself "Oh it's nothing, just those occasional small tremors." But it didn't die down. It just got harder. And everything around me started shaking and things were crashing to the floor, and I almost freaked. But it as over after like 5-10 seconds. :0 The nearby community college got closed down because of it, and yeah.

I dunno, it's not that bad when you think about it, but in all my years living in California, we never really had this big of an earthquake recently. It was pretty much all over the news.


Moving on to more important topics

I'm gonna start doing features every two weeks or so, just to get some art out there. I'll try to feature art that needs more attention (i.e. lacking in deserving faves/comments), and I'll try not to feature too much fanart. I'm a lover of original art, so my features will focus more on those than anything.

Hi guys! Just wanted to say that Anime Expo 08 was a blasty-blast. C: I bought a bunch of posters, all of which are gracing my bedroom wall. So pretty ; u ; Sadly, I wasn't able to meet kirayukari and Omata because I'm a crappy planner and I suck at life. xD;;; I posted a more in-depth fangirlism over AX in LJ. |D

On other news, I think I'm killing my laptop ever so slowly. It's pretty old, so I think the fan thing isn't working anymore. And recently, it just turns off all by itself. I'm guessing it's overheating, because I rarely get viruses on my laptop. To counteract the overheating, I raised my laptop a half-inch off the desk with an old contact lense case and an eyeshadow palette XD;;; Then I propped my electric fan on the table next to my desk and pointed the air towards my laptop. Right now, this seems to be working, so I'm able to spend a few hours on my compu without it dying on me. I should probably buy a notebook cooler or something from Staples, but those cost $40 and I'm broke at the moment. OTL;;;

(Did you guys even read that last paragraph? Or is it tl;dr? XD;;)

So I'm really bored, and there's nothing to do at home except eat and sleep, the former of which will cause me to gain tons of weight.

I'm encouraging you guys to ask me questions. Stupid ones, silly ones, normal ones, just for fun. You can ask my OC Adonis questions, if you like. You can even ask me what the meaning of life is, but I won't guarantee an intelligent answer.

Of course, common sense would tell you that I won't answer extremely personal questions that ask my SS number, my phone number, my address, etc. :B So.... don't ask 'em. ;D

On other news, the heat these days is killing me. I have my turbo fan on high already, and I still feel like I'm melting into my chair. ;___; Thank god for short shorts and tank tops. XD

So lately I've been getting aches in my back, my neck and my wrist. It's probably from sitting at my laptop for too long and drawing too much. :B Hurts like hell, though. Ugh. I dunno what to do about it, so I guess I should just sleep it off or something. I should probably take a rest before I kill my wrist. X3

On other news, I got my second semester report card in the mail today. Or rather, my mom got to it first. Good news is that I got straight A's. Bad news is that my mom is pissed at me for getting two A-minuses. OTL''' Can't please them all, can you? T___T;;;

Oh well, I'll do better next school year.

Sorta going through an art slump. I realized how much I sucked at poses and at drawing stuff in general. I think I need to go back to basics and learn everything. :B Especially when I see all the awesome people on MangaBullet, it's so discouraging.

But whatever. It's just a phase. I'll get better. Eventually. OTL;;

I am working on a few pictures. I still have one last chibi freebie to go. Then another art with Adonis then the shotacon pet assignment. Although I'm not sure if my assignment entry would qualify because I don't think I'm following the rules correctly. OTL;;; XD Oh well.

Hey guys! I'm like 12 hours late for posting this, but it's better than never right? Anyway, I got some important stuff to say after all my crappy mumbo jumbo.

I just want to say how extremely proud I am of MangaBullet right now. Honestly, this place has gone above and beyond what's expected of an art community. We have interesting and relevant articles, awesome features, a director who actually listens, a community of friendly people who all share the same interests, and many more! How great can that be? :]

I hope that we can all work together to keep MB a great place, unlike some communities. Honestly, guys, forget all that nonsense drama and just have fun. :] If you guys haven't already, go HERE to find cool buttons and banners, and PROMOTE MANGABULLET LIKE CRAZY! The more the merrier, am I right?
